Ex MP Hosting At Local Nightclub
Local nightclub Kasbah is a place where ages from 18 and over go to let their hair down and have a fun night out. As they have three main rooms for different genre of music playing, so everyone has a little taste of what they like, and the DJs definitely play a mix of everything especially on nights when it’s a certain theme or vibe. This is a great way of adults socialising and especially a way for most university students to be treating themselves to a fun night after all their assignments.
As many of you guys may have heard a few rumours of Matt Hancock ex member of parliament as he was the secretary for the health and social care back in 2021. Due certain circumstances he had to step down as he broke the law during covid times and had lost the faith and respect from the public due to his acts of being a hypocrite and being dishonest.
It was announced that he would be attending and making a special guest appearance in Coventry at local nightclub known as Kasbah, it was published on Kasbahs Instagram post that he will be attending on the 31st of November. Before you start trying to book tickets as you all maybe be confused in November, we only have 30 days so was this for a joke or a publicity stunt. I must say it did catch quite a lot of attention especially from the younger generation as it was posted on social media.
The public do have a few different opinions and thoughts on the ex-politician showing his face around and especially when he was part of politics do you really think its expectable for him to be hosting an event at a nightclub. So, I gathered different views on what the people of Coventry may think of this stunt. Joe Peterson says, “I don’t think he should be a guest at all I think he’s quite disgraceful”. I received a lot of comments from positive to negative thoughts as many weren’t interested of his appearance some were even horrified hearing the news as Pricilla said, “I would leave if I saw him there”. Many opinions were given and was said if he was going to show up, they would still be annoyed and upset with him for breaking the rules during covid.
I interviewed Katie Tennant a worker from the local nightclub Kasbah and her opinions on if he came and what her thoughts are of this stunt and why it was done. She believes it was a joke as nobody knows who had cause the stunt as many of the workers had and can access the social accounts, but she was deeply not impressed with it as she says, “you’re in there to have fun and the last person you need is a lying politician with you”. Kasbah took down the post within 24 hours and haven’t mentioned anything about it.
