Antonia Lubowa and More: Coventry’s Mix-Up 2025 Showcases Emerging Talent

Coventry University's annual 'Mix-Up' event has long been a celebration of musical creativity and collaboration. The 2025 edition promises to be an exciting showcase of student talent, featuring performances that blend genres and artistic disciplines.

Among this year's standout performers is Antonia Lubowa, a third-year student specializing in Music Performance and Songwriting. Known for her soulful voice, Antonia has been making waves both within and beyond the university. In an exclusive interview for CovFeed, Antonia said, “I am trying to find a date for my gig at Fargo Village at the end of this month, and I am looking forward to it”

Music has always been a part of Antonia’s life, “I started singing when I was 8 or 9 and I knew I wanted to pursue a career in this field.” “I used to play the electric guitar, but I think I will stick to vocals!” she added.

“My course music performance and songwriting has had a lot of ups and downs, but I enjoyed a lot of it. I think there were a lot of times when I was put out of my comfort zone, but I learnt the importance of that as well.”

“I really look up to Beyonce and SZA especially because of their vocals, but I would love to collab with Thundercat because he is so good at everything, he could produce, play the guitar, sing, basically everything!”

Antonia is just one of a plethora of talented artists taking part in this year mix up, and if these performances are something to go by, the future of talent and creativity is better than ever!
