Lady Gaga’s Rumoured Appearance In Tim Burton’s Wednesday- Her Transition From Music To Acting

Upon Lady Gaga’s (Born Stephani Germanotta) recent appearance in ‘Joker Folie à Deux’ fans are currently speculating on whether she may make an appearance in Netflix’s hit show ‘Wednesday’ for their second season. Sparking mixed opinions from her fan base, some welcoming her onto the Wednesday universe. However, some fans are concerned she may not be the perfect fit.

Gaga initially began acting in 2001 in the acclaimed television series ‘The Sopranos’.Going on to achieve worldwide recognition and fame, but not for her acting. She quickly became an unconventional pop power-house, who was constantly pushing boundaries. Her unique artistic perspective with fashion and bold visionary performances was a refreshing take on what a traditional female pop star should be. Going against the binary she solidified herself a loyal and devoted fanbase. The 13-time Grammy award winner has had a fulfilling music career, from hit albums The Fame, Born This Way, and The Fame Monster, she has solidified her pop music legacy. Nevertheless, her talents extend past bold fashion looks and a microphone.

In 2015, she returned to the screen after her 14-year hiatus by taking on a complex character in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s American Horror Story. Her role as The Countess earned her an immense amount of respect within the film industry, showcasing her ability to bring depth to a character. Since her role in American Horror Story, Lady Gaga has immersed herself in her acting career, earning multiple prestigious nominations for her acting appearances. Gaga’s camp and artistic attributes made her character a fan favourite. Almost 10 years after the release of her starring season, her character is still mentioned when comparing her performance against recent celebrity appearances such as Kim Kardashian. Making her an American Horror Story fan favourite.

Fans who are aware of Gaga’s success within season 5 of American Horror Story are eager to find out what kind of role Gaga may be given in Tim Burton’s recent adaptation of The Addams Family. Her portrayal of The Countess has proven to some that she is more than capable of handling a darker and more complex role. However some express concern about how she can integrate her dark themes from her previous roles into the more lighthearted and child-friendly ‘Wednesday’.

After winning her first Oscar the trajectory of Gaga’s career was shifted from music into acting. Staring in films such as ‘House of Gucci’ and ‘ The Joker’. Taking fans on this experimental journey of film, Gaga has expressed how she has a profound love for cinema and music. “I love movies so much is the stories that you get to tell” stated Gaga in an interview with a report at the Venice Film Festival, in regards to being questioned about her switch over to film.

Regardless Lady Gaga doesn’t seem to be letting go of her musical roots anytime soon. Gaga’s musical fanbase is still being fed new and fresh records. When interviewed at the premiere of Joker Folie à Deux, Gaga stated that '“she wasn’t ready to let go of her” role as Harley Quinn, releasing a 13-track album titled '‘Harlequin’. Exploring jazz-like themes but still holding on to her traditional pop origins.
