Mix-Up ’24: Where Music Genres Collide

Coventry University is presenting a great evening of music and fun at the Delia Derbyshire building on Cox Street on March 13th.

As advertised, the event is a collaborative effort between Coventry University and the Orchestra of the Swan. It involves students from the Popular Music, Music and Audio Production, Journalism, Film Production, and Media Production courses across all years joining together to set and stage an amazing music performance event.

Mix-Up ’24 will be running from 4:30–8PM, and will feature a cover and eight original songs, such as ‘I’m falling’, an original love ballad written and performed by Rowan Power.

Speaking to Rowan about the event, he said: “It’s just a hell of an experience working with these incredible musicians who normally wouldn’t give me the time of day – it’s the fact we get to come together and create these amazing pieces of music.”

“We’ve done it for a couple of years now, but (Mix-Up ’24) keeps getting bigger and better every year.”
