Couch Potatoes Unite for National TV Day

On December 1996, the United Nations proclaimed the 21st of November to be World Television Day, the same year the first World Television Forum was held.

We celebrate National TV Day to recognise the huge cultural impact television has had on society. Bringing world conflict and peace to attention, a medium to release the latest pop cultural news, and the box you watch your favourite show on - the TV truly is an integral part of our daily lives.

Our reporter Kasim Chauhan looks back on the impact of television, and whether it continues to influence our media in an ever-changing digital world.
