Unmissable Christmas events in Coventry 2021
Christmas is slowly creeping upon us. Lights are shining through cities, trees are starting to go up, Santa’s grotto is now open to visitors and snowfall across the country is putting everyone in a festive mood.
The city of Coventry is no exception. 2021 marks the return of the Christmas markets, which were absent last year because of the pandemic. From festive food to fairground rides, there’s something for everyone.
Not hungry? Try out Coventry Glides ice rink in the Cathedral. This frictionless fun is available until the 9th January. Besides, who wouldn’t want to ice skate in Coventry’s most famous historical building? Book online for the cheapest prices.
If balance isn’t your strong point or you’ve got little ones to bring along, the Vintage Sleigh Ride Experience is returning to the transport museum. Wander through a magical winter wonderland of festive activities and snowy scenes before taking a ride on an enchanting vintage sleigh, pulled by two trusty reindeer. But where is the sleigh’s destination? Lapland. Meet Santa, tell him all your Christmas wishes and collect a special gift.
Thankfully, events are going ahead this holiday season. Famous comedian and actor, Martin Kemp, is performing his Back to the 80’s Tour - Christmas Special! at Rialto Plaza.
