Russian Jet Collides with US Drone

Russia has said that an incident between their fighter jet and a US drone has been seen as a provocation.

A Russian fighter jet collided with an American drone causing the Reaper to fall into the Black Sea yesterday.

The US have said that the jet dumped fuel into its path

British Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace, has urged Moscow to respect international airspace.

‘The key here is that all parties respect international airspace and we urge the Russians to do so’

The US summoned Russian ambassador Anatoly Antonov to Washington.

After the meeting, he was quoted in the Russian media saying ‘the unacceptable activity of the US military in the close proximity to our borders is a cause for concern’.
